Cottage Character, Modern Comfort

We are pleased to share a remodel we recently completed in Rehoboth Beach, DE. The project included remodeling a second-floor bathroom and adding a powder room off the art room.

Our team paired thoughtful upgrades—including a heated tile floor and a larger shower—with carefully restored beadboard and finishes that preserve the home’s cottage character.

Second-Floor Bathroom Remodel

We began by gutting the bathroom floor and removing the existing shower, carefully protecting the beadboard walls before resurfacing them.

A new heated tile floor adds comfort underfoot. The enlarged shower provides more room, with a custom niche and shelf that keep everyday essentials within easy reach.

A New Powder Room off the Art Room

In the art room, the area that once held a wash sink became a new powder room. Ceramic tile and new beadboard walls were selected to blend naturally with the home’s existing cottage style.

A pocket door completes the space, using the Cavity Slider system and an Emtek privacy pocket door hardware kit for a practical, space-saving entrance.
